Breastfeeding is an instinctual and natural act, but it is also an art that is learned day by day.

I'm Caroline McGee, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC). As a mother of three wonderful children, I understand the joys and challenges of breastfeeding firsthand. My journey into the world of lactation began nine years ago when I became a mother for the first time. Inspired by a close friend who introduced me to the benefits and beauty of breastfeeding, I discovered my passion for helping other moms navigate their breastfeeding journeys.

With a background as a registered nurse and extensive experience working in the NICU, I have been dedicated to providing personalized and compassionate care to breastfeeding mothers since 2019. My favorite area of work is with pregnant and first-time moms, teaching and guiding them through the early stages of breastfeeding. I also have experience supporting NICU families, tandem nursing, and addressing many other unique breastfeeding challenges.

At Relative Roots Lactation, I believe breastfeeding is a versatile and powerful tool for motherhood. I strive to help mothers understand that breastfeeding can be adapted to fit their individual lives, making it a simpler and more fulfilling experience. When I'm not talking about birth or breastfeeding, you'll find me baking and decorating elaborate cakes, spending time with my family, and finding unique opportunities to add to our homeschooling curriculum.
